Iraqi Kurdish authorities have been advertising for direct foreign investment in Kurdistan in the WSJ and FT for quite some time -- I don't see how this would be insensitive to the military. This would be a great show. Kurdistan has the potential to be a food paradise, situated where it is. Turkish cuisine to the North, Persian/Iranian to the East, with Iraqi and Syrian cuisines thrown in for luck. Bourdain and Ackerman would be a great team to show us the cuisine of Kurdistan, from the beautifully presented high end foods of Persia and Turkey all the way down to street food. Kurdistan would be great! Look at the different food influences, with Iran/Persia on the East, Turkey on the North, with Iraqi and Syrian cuisines to the South and West. The potentials are wonderful. Kurdistan could be a food paradise, from the high end down to street food. Bourdain and Ackerman could really show us what's up with it. It'll be a great show! And Kurdistan really is safe.
